You do not need a Mac, a shortcut or any app: since iOS 13, Safari downloads files natively. The flow on an iPhone or iPad takes under a minute.
The three steps
- 1. Copy the link in the Smule app: open the performance → Share → Copy link.
- 2. Paste it in Safari on the Smule Downloader page and press Download Now.
- 3. Confirm the download. Safari asks "Do you want to download…?" — tap Download and watch the blue arrow icon at the top.
Where the file goes
Finished downloads live in the Files app → Downloads (iCloud Drive or On My iPhone, depending on your Safari settings). From there:
- Video to Photos: open the MP4 in Files → Share → Save Video. Now it is in your gallery like any clip.
- Audio: plays directly from Files; AirDrop it to a Mac or share it to WhatsApp/Telegram from the Share sheet.
- iCloud space tight? Settings → Apps → Safari → Downloads → On My iPhone keeps files local.
If nothing seems to happen
The download prompt is easy to miss — look for it at the bottom of the screen, and the blue arrow top-right afterwards. If the button opened an ad tab instead, close it and tap again; the second tap delivers the file. More fixes in the troubleshooting guide. Android user? This way.
