No APK, no permissions, no "downloader app" full of ads: on Android, your browser does everything. Here is the exact flow on a phone.
The three steps
- 1. Copy the link. In the Smule app, open your performance → Share → Copy link.
- 2. Paste it. Open Chrome (or Samsung Internet, Firefox…), go to the Smule Downloader, paste and press Download Now.
- 3. Save. Choose video or audio. Chrome drops the file into Downloads; videos also appear in your gallery.
Android tips
- Find files later: Files app → Downloads, or Chrome menu → Downloads.
- SD card: in Chrome settings → Downloads you can point downloads at the SD card — useful if you are archiving a lot of duets.
- Blocked download? If Chrome warns about "multiple downloads", allow it once. Battery savers can pause background downloads: keep the tab open until the notification shows the file is complete.
- Share to WhatsApp: audio files send as documents; videos send directly from the gallery.
Why not a downloader APK?
Play Store policy bans Smule downloaders, so APKs come from unofficial sites, update outside Google’s review and ask for permissions a downloader has no business asking.
